To many salespeople who stick to a script, negotiation strikes error in them. Yet it’s a way of life in many countries – especially if you have ever been to a souk or market! In my mind, someone can be good at sales but the person that is good at negotiation will be a better closer, come away with a better deal and establish a longer-term relationship with a customer. I’ve “negotiated” the opportunity of revisiting a UK company who I think are global leaders in sales negotiation training, Huthwaite International and their CEO Tony Hughes.
